This research is about the geology and the exploration groundwater using resistivity method in Sungai Sam, Dabong, Kelantan. The aim of this research is to produce the latest geological map of the study area with scale of 1:25000 and to apply electrical resistivity for groundwater potential. The field work and investigation were done to collect the data about geology of the study area. The data include topography, structural, geomorphology, lithology and stratighraphy were collect. Rock sample were collected in order to conduct petrographycal analysis. The study area consists of five lithology which is shale, siltstone, andesite, limestone and sandstone. Andesite forms as a intrusion during Triassic period. The result of the exploration groundwater, one from three line were found the potential groundwater near the limestone area. So, study area Sungai Sam has potential for groundwater.
